Adrenal support is on the best ways to protect against stress levels. Chronic stress tends to overwork the adrenal glands so that they can’t function properly. Many herbs provide adrenal support, especially certain adaptogenic herbs such as rhodiola, ashwagandha, schisandra, eleuthro, and licorice. Tell us about some ways in which you’ve added “adrenal support” to your daily habits.

I have a problem with those that feed themselve high quality foods, but feed their pets crap. Whole foods carries a pet line that is nutritous and tasty. Additionally, I have a problem with pet owners that shop, yap and eat while their pet in sitting in the cold or heat outside Whole foods tied to a railing. Yesterday, it was cold, ice and snow out. A beagle was shovering while tied to a railing. The beagle had no coat and could not sit because the steps were freezing. He whimpered as his owners ate and waves to him through the window. They could at least supplied him with a mat or blanket to sit on. The dog attempted to sit , but the ground was too cold. Shoppers please if you must bring your pet provide him/her with a cushion during the cold and heat. Dogs can develop arthritis if they stay in the cold or lie on concrete. If this is you-stop.

I know for a fact that Wholefoods detest cruelty to animals therefore be organized before you shop. Have a list prepared before you leave the house. Why? The longer you’re in the Wholefoods or any store, the longer your pet suffers outside tied to a railing. Take a buddy. The buddy can watch your pet as you shop. If you’re planning to eat and shop please leave pet home and walk him or her later. Imagine your parent tieing you to a railing outside a market until she/he shopped.Next time I shop and see a pet tied to a railing longer than 10 minutes I’m calling the police or alerting customer srevice @ Wholefoods. Some people have pets as other people just have animals. Pets are well taken care of where animals are not.

To Monique Gordon
Re: Pets and Whole Foods.
While I sympathize with your efort to see pets treated more responsibly, the last thing you should do is become some self-appointed avenging angel for pets. May I suggest that if you do see a pet suffering, you go to the customer service desk, ask them to page the pet owner, and talk with the owner reasonably about your ideas regarding more humane pet treatment? I doubt most pet owners would deliberately harm their pets, so if you could raise their awareness in a more tolerant way, you’d stand to win a lot more goodwill for your cause. Give Peace a Chance!

I want to find the best multivitamin for a teenage boy. He is my step-son and I’m trying to get him to eat better, but I ‘inherited’ a sugar dependency and a dislike for many veggies. I know he needs a supplement and I’ve been giving him one, but would like to pursue a more organic natural supplement

I have great respect for the health products carried by Whole Foods. I am looking for vitamins for both of my parents (age 82).
My dad has an issue with his body producing too much iron so I need a vitamin with no Vitamin K and no iron supplements.
My mom on the other hand needs a good multivitamin with all the necessary additives.
Any suggestions?
October 12th, 2010 at 6:52 pm
@Kim It’s best to check with your local store’s Whole Body department for help in finding vitamins for your needs.

STORE CLERK RECOMMENDED A SUPPLEMENT THAT WAS MOSTLY “GREENS” AND HAD TO PUNCH OUT FROM A CARD OF TABLETS. KIND OF PRICEY AND LESS THAN A MONTH’S SUPPLY IN A BOX.
MY ENERGY LEVEL IS EVEN LOWER THAN LAST YEAR AND HAVE DECIDED TO TAKE HER SUGGESTION. SOMEONE DOES MY SHOPPING FOR ME NOW EACH SATURDAY AND I WOULD LIKE THE NAME OF THE PRODUCT SO THAT HE CAN PICK SOME UP FOR ME.
THANKS!
