Whole Foods in Winter Park had no one who was qualified to assist me with the Mineral Fusion makeup (or any of the other brands they carry). They had only about half the line of foundations and a little more than half of the rest of the line. I had called the store before traveling 1 1/4 hours to get there and asked if they had someone to assist me with consultation about the mineral makeup and application of it and was assured that there would be such a person present; there was not. I was permitted to choose and apply the products they had, but there were no wipes, the lighting was poor, and the mirror was largely hidden behind the display. Nonetheless, the Mineral Fusion makeup I chose and applied looks good (for now, a few hours will tell whether it lasts or not), but it does feel a bit itchy (especially the eye shadow) and one of the ingredients is related to an acid that is known to cause sensitivity in allergy prone persons.

Mineral makeup is very good for your skin, and can make you look 10 years younger. You can find some good Organic Makeup at VillageGreenMarket.com. They have a good range of ALL organic products, which I have tried and loved.

Very informative. The only thing I hear about is mineral makeup. It does look very easy. I’ll have to check this out next time. Oh, I love the nude/flesh tone pencil for the eyes and around the lips. I am curious about their prices..

This is excellent information. I LOVE the Mineral Fusion products, especially the pressed powder foundation. And I love that nothing at Whole Foods is ever tested on animals. I adore Whole Foods in so many ways.

how do i use the mineral fusion container/sponge to get the product out to apply it? i’m still having trouble with the full size powder. i have to unscrew the sponge covered top, then shake some powder into the cap. now the cap is too deep to get the sponge applicator into, so i try to sprinkle the powder from the cap onto the top of the sponge. this is not effective + always messy + wasteful. every time i open the sponge covered top i risk spilling the whole container. how can this container make sense to use as it is? why don’t you just make it like the store sample containers, so it “shakes” out a little at a time without having to unscrew the top? help

Thanks for your question about mineral makeup in liquid form. When creating liquid mineral foundations, there are many other ingredients aside from minerals in the formula to make the product liquid, spreadable and cream like. Mineral Fusion’s liquid sheer tint is mineral based. It offers light coverage and a dewy finish. It can also be used as a primer for the skin under a pressed or loose base. The coverage and finish is very different from a powder form, which appeals to many women. The SPF protection is less in liquid form because the mineral content is not as concentrated as it is in our pressed or loose bases which offer an SPF of 18+.

I watched this video and it was very good. I am currently wearing a mineral makeup (not Whole Food’s), but I am little confused about this demonstration. I thought mineral makeup only came in powder form, not liquid. I know Jen applied a tint, which was liquid, but what was the mineral makeup she used?
