I am really enjoying Secret Ingredient: lots of good recipes and ideas, and Scott is a very personable presenter.
However, in this episode, there is a bit of misinformation, and while it may be too late to fix it in the video, I figure you might be able to avoid repeating it elsewhere.
The Borough Market in Southwark, London is not 250 years old — it was officially recognized by Parliament about 250 years ago, but the market has been in existence for nearly 2,000 years. If you want to know more of its history, there is more detail in an article I wrote about dining in London: http://www.hungrymag.com/2006/06/06/london-calling/#more-149
The info on the market appears in the 9th paragraph, but the origin of England’s cheese tradition follows in paragraph 10, should that be of interest to you. (I’m a culinary historian, so I get very excited about this kind of information.)
Thanks again for the fun videos and great recipes.
