No recalls at Whole Foods. But Why when I ask about why Whole Foods is not supporting Florida Crystals, It's 100% carbon Free, the store people look at me like they don't understand. All they say is 365 is an organic sugar. But it comes from south america. Then they talk about Fair Trade and point to Wholsome. Again not form this country. Between the Vegtables from China and now this I wonder what Whole Foods really cares about.

Very good info. thanks! I shop at your Southern California stores who supply a lot of local AND sustainable products, including the delicious Kenter Canyon Farms lettuces, but I can't seem to find a listing for Southern California on your Local website listing??

I'm also wondering why the word, "sustainable" is not used in tandem with the local product you offer? In CA there are a lot of "local" industrial farms I would not like to buy from...the word SUSTAINABLE is critical to my food purchasing choices.

Great post. I honestly haven't analyzed my carbon footprint -- with food -- to this extent. I did, for a little while, have a local farm deliver food to the house. I'm working on it...as you said, behavior changes takes time. I have two young kids which inspires me and my husband to work harder.
