I love how he gives suggestions for what oils and natural ingredients work on which hair types. I’m definitely intrigued! And wow, is it ever hard to find a decent natural hair coloring product. Think I’ll try this next and see how it does. But it looks like it’d be more fun to go into their NY salon and get the whole treatment! (I bet that reporter never did an interview with cucumbers on her eyes before!)
July 1st, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Fantastic. I’m a huge John Masters fan!!! Great to see him live and in the flesh. I have to get to that salon one day.
July 1st, 2008 at 3:48 pm
Very good presentation. Great energy from the host and I liked the way you added graphics to highlight the main points for each hair type.
July 1st, 2008 at 6:00 pm
Really great video, best one yet! Very real, and natural, no pun intended. I’m excited to try out these tips.
July 2nd, 2008 at 7:07 am
I really enjoyed this. I have always been skeptical about all of the chemicals listed on general hair care products.
July 2nd, 2008 at 9:16 am
Hi Diane, I have to say that talking with cucumbers on my face was quite interesting. I just wanted to report that I have been using a Shampoo form the John Masters line with honey and hibiscus in it and my hair has really been doing well. Thanks for watching the podcast! Part two will be posted next week, John gives us tips on styling products.
July 2nd, 2008 at 9:43 am
I agree, with Diane. Incredible Mara that you are able to keep interviewing with the cucumbers on your eyes, and your hair being washed. I usually fall asleep as soon as my head goes bkac into the tub
Thanks for this video, the topic is really great, very universal.
July 2nd, 2008 at 10:13 am
I really like John Masters products, thanks for sharing them with others!
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Very helpful information. I’m a believer in natural oils for dry hair1
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:12 pm
Another great episode. Natural is the way to go, I’ll help spread the word.
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:25 pm
I have used John Master’s products in the past and really liked them, however, in recent years I’ve become more sensitive to fragrances (even natural ones). I would love to see John Masters come up with a fragrance-free shampoo and conditioner. His products are the only truly salon-quality organic hair products I’ve found and I would love to be able to use them again. It’s really great to see Whole Foods carrying his products.
Thanks
July 3rd, 2008 at 5:19 pm
I didn’t realize there is actually a J.M. Salon. Next time I’m in NY that is one stop I will certainly make.
July 4th, 2008 at 9:05 am
A friend told me oatmeal left in your hair for a few hours is a really good conditioner. I can’t imagine this would have much of an affect, have you heard anything like this?
July 5th, 2008 at 7:50 am
Good to know the natural approaches to hair care is used in such a high end studio. I’ve always been impressed with the John Masters products.
July 5th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
Love this video! John Masters’ products are fabulous.
July 7th, 2008 at 8:09 am
I really enjoyed this video, glad to know natural options are the way to go.
July 7th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
You are really impressing me with all of this great coverage. I have been a believer in organics internally, it is good to see the benefits are strong for skin and hair care as well.
July 7th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
It is good to see John Masters getting some coverage, he has been a pioneer in natural hair care at a Salon level. Good job Whole Foods, finding his products, selling his products and featuring him here.
July 7th, 2008 at 6:00 pm
I continue to be impressed with your coverage of natural approaches to body care, skin care, and now hair care. I loved the mineral makeup feature as well.
July 8th, 2008 at 3:28 am
I am just recovering from a horrific chemical hair coloring. They first bleached my hair so the “color would take” then applied the color, what a smell. Needless to say, my hair felt like steel wool for weeks. I’m excited to go this route next time around, thanks for the suggestions.
July 8th, 2008 at 5:11 am
I’m going to John Masters next weekend!!!!
July 8th, 2008 at 11:35 am
Looking forward to trying out a new hair color.
July 8th, 2008 at 12:00 pm
Again great coverage, I really hope this all works out for my crazy hair. Thanks for sharing and championing a healthy approach.
July 8th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
i hope they have the john master’s products at whole foods market, i’m going to look for them today in the whole body section. i haven’t seen them there before. i use the aubrey gps shampoo + conditioner that has worked miracles in detangling my matted rats nest, now i’m trying the nature’s gate hemp shampoo for dry frizzy hair.
July 9th, 2008 at 10:05 am
You really can’t beat the fragrence of natural hair care products. I’m a huge J.M. fan. I have dark, straight frizzy hair and his products have made a world of difference for me.
July 9th, 2008 at 11:32 am
I’m a believer, thanks covering this topic!
July 9th, 2008 at 11:41 am
I think sometimes we forget that skin is an organ. Putting chemicals on your scalp and so close to your nose and actually have a very negative affect on your health.
July 9th, 2008 at 11:47 am
Just a great video- I didn’t know John Masters had a salon, and now I find out that my cousin gets to go there once a month…. ah to be so lucky.
July 9th, 2008 at 11:53 am
I’ve hear that aloe left in your hair is good for conditioning. Has anyone else heard about this?
July 9th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
I to have the fizzy hair blues in summer with the humidity. I’ve tried leaving conditioner in my hair, but that typically turns into a mess. Any suggestions?
July 9th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
I like your style Mara! I want John Masters to give me some personal advice
July 9th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
This is nice to see a store I traditionally think of as an organic food sorce, promoting and carring products for hair and body.
July 9th, 2008 at 5:36 pm

July 10th, 2008 at 7:30 am
I would think these shampoos and conditioners are less likely to was the color out of your hair.
July 10th, 2008 at 7:38 am
Great coverage a splendid topic. Traditional salon color treaments are truly horrific for your hair over time.
July 10th, 2008 at 7:48 am
