I never knew how many things there were to irritate my baby’s skin! There are so many lines that do claim to be “natural” and it’s nice to know that Whole Foods has done all the hard work and picked the good lines to choose from.

I love Whole Food & the fact that you’re carrying this line of baby products is awesome! I’m visiting from http://grocerymama.typepad.com/
March 10th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
I shop weekly at whole foods and one of the greatest things about whole foods is the staff is so educated on the items and are willing to let you try the items or order in special items if needed!
March 10th, 2009 at 9:16 pm
Thank you for the information about this product line!!
March 11th, 2009 at 12:23 pm
Thank you Whole Foods for carrying this line, I look forward to shopping there to discover more important natural items for my baby.
March 11th, 2009 at 8:28 pm
Thanks for the info I have a 7m old.
March 11th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
So many companies make claims or trick readers into thinking their products are good for you, when they simply are not.
I’m glad there are companies that spend time researching the best products… the ones that aren’t harmful… and offering them in one central location.
It’s so much easier, than having to remember it all yourself.
March 12th, 2009 at 8:48 am
This info is great, but I admit, I still feel tremendously overwhelmed in trying to make a choice – especially about BABY stuff! If you go to WF and see a big ol’ pregnant woman standing there staring forlornly at the shelves? That’s me.
March 12th, 2009 at 8:57 am
I agree. It IS a great time to be a parent if you want to raise your baby with natural products. Whole Foods has done a great job intergrating these products into their stores now.
March 12th, 2009 at 9:08 am
Your stores have been a tremendous resource for mothers like myself who find natural products a must for raising kids. Thanks for extending into social media!
March 12th, 2009 at 9:44 am
I agree that natural is a term too often used in products and needs to be carefully checked out. Im glad whole foods takes away the guess work for me! I am ganna get my baby stuff there, there is one by my work!
March 12th, 2009 at 10:17 am
I never thought about the products that I put on my baby could possibly go in my baby. I love the grocery store whole foods. I will definitely have to try some of the stuff out.
March 12th, 2009 at 10:51 am
Thanks for the podcast. I agree, this IS the best time to be a parent if you want to surround your child with good and natural products.
March 12th, 2009 at 10:57 am
Thanks Whole Foods. This podcast was very informative. I trust the brand and reccomendations so will try some of these products.
March 12th, 2009 at 11:16 am
Wow..I was so ignorant of all the details about baby products..Now I would be looking at the shelves differently..
March 12th, 2009 at 11:33 am
This is an awesome giveaway. What a neat job Jeremiah has! Keep up the good work!
March 12th, 2009 at 11:54 am
I really am so happy there are more natural organic products out there. Of course some of us weren’t raise with these products but it is never too late to start. Of course I would want the best for her. Thanks for sharing the podcast. This was informative and can’t wait to start practicing more with my little girl
March 12th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
This is wonderful… I’ve always been very cautious of what my little one eats/wears/plays with…don’t get me wrong…I’m not a clean freak mom but I want to protect my baby as much as I possibly can without being overprotective…this is great information
March 12th, 2009 at 1:12 pm
I would love this for my nephew! He loves all the organic stuff and he’s a “green” baby.
March 12th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Thank you for this great information. My daughter has eczema and so this is really relevant to us. I scrutinize labels on all bath products and look for the most natural, gentle ingredients I can use for her. I love Whole Foods!
March 12th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
Glad I can turn to your store for great products and foods for my child!
March 12th, 2009 at 3:38 pm
I love that your place is the one stop source for my babycare needs
March 12th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
I never thought to look for baby products at whole foods! I try to use organic, natural products for my baby, and there are not alot of readily available choices out there. Thanks!
March 12th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
Thanks!
March 12th, 2009 at 5:59 pm
I love Whole Foods, wish there was one closer to Palm Harbor, FL. I have a new baby with super sensitive skin so Whole Foods baby care products are a life saver. The podcast was great and very helpful. Thanks for keeping us educated!

March 12th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
Last time I was at Whole Foods, I grabbed a copy of “Organic Beauty” magazine & fell in love with it. One of the best “articles” was a spread about the distinction of buzz words used in “natural” products. I love using natural products and find myself becoming obsessed with understanding everything about every product for my new baby’s care!
March 12th, 2009 at 8:52 pm
So great to know I can get all my baby products in one place.
March 12th, 2009 at 9:00 pm
oh wow that was so interesting i love natural products and you have been improving them for 15 yrs great job
March 12th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
Thanks for sharing! We are big believers in considering very thoughtfully what we put in and on our children.
March 13th, 2009 at 4:29 am
Great series…thanks for your focus on babies and kids.
March 13th, 2009 at 5:09 am
This was really an eye opener about many products out there. I’m glad to know that there is something that is purely safe for my kids.
March 13th, 2009 at 7:49 am
Whole Foods now becomes THE place to get everything a growing family needs. Kudos to them for thinking green and natural. It is a great time to be a parent, with so many fine green options available.
March 13th, 2009 at 7:58 am
This was really informative. Most people don’t realize how sensitive a baby’s skin really is.
March 13th, 2009 at 10:06 am
As a parent of a kid with excema, I love how gentle natural products are. Plus, they’re better for the planet!
March 13th, 2009 at 10:46 am
I wish there were more standards concerning “natural” skin products for babies, but since there aren’t, I’m glad Whole Foods takes a look at what actual ingredients are in these products, e.g. artificial colors, so at least we know we’re buying something safer.
March 13th, 2009 at 11:03 am
Such a fantastic idea!
March 13th, 2009 at 11:04 am
I’m currently 22 weeks pregnant with my first child. Thanks for sharing the importance of using natural products on babies. I would love to win the Green Baby Diaper Bag giveaway for my son.
kikisp2008@yahoo.com
March 13th, 2009 at 11:10 am
This was great to listen to.
I am preg with my 5th child and we are slowly trying to switch to more green. Hearing all the good that comes from going green encourages me in my quest to get there my self even if it is slow going due to money.
thanks for the site.
March 13th, 2009 at 11:21 am
I think using the highest quality body products is one of the best things you can do for your child. I always knew babies had sensitive skin, but never thought so much as their skin being responsible for things like temperature regulation and hydration. I plan to look into these natural products!
March 13th, 2009 at 11:32 am
always encouraging to hear folks who are asking similar questions – and helpful to know that whole foods is trying to also ask them.
March 13th, 2009 at 11:32 am
I am just becoming aware of the effects of skin products on my daughters sensitive skin! Thanks for the informative podcast and I will surely check out your skin care products when I am in the store next!
March 13th, 2009 at 11:40 am
I really appreciate the premium body care standards.

I wish I knew what I know now 15 years ago. But it is never too late! I am surrounded by soon-to-be moms and will pass on this helpful info.!
March 13th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
Thank you for such useful information.
March 13th, 2009 at 12:07 pm
This product line would help my family. I already love Whole Foods.
March 13th, 2009 at 12:17 pm
We love Whole Foods and are always on the lookout for new natural baby products. Thanks!
March 13th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
I am 26 weeks pregnant. And totally agree I never really thought about Natural products and being more healthy until I was responsible for another human being. Sounds like an Awesome product.
March 13th, 2009 at 1:56 pm
Very good information from a trusted source! I see some products that I have NOT used that I want to try now.
March 13th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Thanks for the information on natural products. I have 2 daughters with exzema and prefer to use more natural products.
March 13th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
KUDOS to Whole Foods for going beyond looking at the term “natural.” Arsnic is “natural” but I don’t want to be rubbing it into my baby’s skin. Keep up the great work, but don’t hesitate to raise the bar a lot more…we can do with less selection if we’re dealing with the highest quality.
March 13th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
Thanks for this information. It is very helpful!
March 13th, 2009 at 5:56 pm
Thanks whole foods!
March 13th, 2009 at 6:29 pm
So glad that Whole Foods is addressing the problem with everyone tossing around “natural”, and giving us brands we can trust! My daughter has allergies and eczema and it is so hard to find appropriate products for her to use.
March 13th, 2009 at 8:58 pm
this is great for people trying to be more green like me thanks so much
March 13th, 2009 at 9:23 pm
I didn’t’ really start thinking green until I had my first child. I love that their are huge resources like this available.
March 13th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
I have a child with sensitive skin also. I went to Whole Foods and got some calendula lotion when he was 5 months old. He is 18 months now and we are still using it.
Now he only has eczema on his hands and feet, none on his trunk
I’m visiting from JollyMom.com but I blog at MomMostTraveled.com
March 14th, 2009 at 1:46 am
This is good information and products. As I am allergic to so many things, I’ll have to be careful what I use on my baby, so these products will be very helpful! Thanks!
March 14th, 2009 at 6:38 am
This is all new to me and I am quickly adjusting. I was introduced to more “natural” products by several family member and friends. I think this new natural direction we are taking has already made us feel better in many ways. I was never much of a label reader myself but now I read EVERYTHING. I’m glad I was introduced to Whole Foods and now Whole Baby. Thank YOU!
March 14th, 2009 at 10:01 am
I’m going to share this with all of my mom friends ans mommies to be
March 14th, 2009 at 11:24 am
My entire awareness has been raised exponentailly since having my first child to having my fourth child. I am so much more in tune with natural and organic products, and am SOOOOOOO happy that Whole Foods is on board too. Now I can shop at Whole Foods for everything!
March 14th, 2009 at 12:48 pm
I always forget that your skin is an organ. It really needs to be taken care of as well as you would your heart or your brain.
It bothers me that people are throwing around the natural word. Not everything labeled natural is safe. I wish there was a way to keep that term for actually safe and natural products. Thank you for all your work on making sure everything is safe/natural in your stores.
I just wish there were a whole foods closer than the hour and a half it would take to get there.
March 14th, 2009 at 5:41 pm
I love that whole foods is continuing to be part of our communities growth with these podcasts!

March 14th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Jane wants to interject here that she also makes baby products, not mentioned for some reason
, and that they are sold in Whole Foods. One is a rubber duck embedded in a gently baby soap and one is a full size baby bar. Both soaps have only olive oil and a touch of both shea butter and beeswax…nothing more (no fragrances, artificial colorings, etc.)!
I see a lot of people mentioning eczema and skin troubles (heartaches when they are babies!), and I don’t use anything else on my babies. The popular “tear free” formulas are full of chemicals and fragrances. The problem is that when there are SO many ingredients and your baby/child has a reaction, it’s nearly impossible to tell what the irritant was. With fewer ingredients, it’s much easier to identify and avoid it. Just my two cents!
March 14th, 2009 at 6:38 pm
thankyou for the cast..I do agree the word natural and organic are used to freely but know whole foods has our backs.
March 14th, 2009 at 7:48 pm
I appreciate the insights shared. It is so over whelming trying to find the most effective and safest products, especially for our little ones. I’m glad to know that I have a “trusted source” to go to. Thanks so much!
March 14th, 2009 at 7:59 pm
AS a mom with a baby with sensitive skin, I am so thankful for products out there like these. The Whole Baby line is great. Thank you for the great products and spreading the word.
March 14th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
It’s great to see a truly “natural” product that pays particular attention to a baby’s special needs.
March 14th, 2009 at 8:56 pm
Great looking products!!!
March 14th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
thanks for this great information! we are expecting our first child soon.
March 14th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
I only buy my babies bath products at Whole Foods.
March 14th, 2009 at 11:53 pm
I tell mamas and papas all the time about using less on their baby – but if they are going to use anything it should be as natural as possible. There are so many great products – and those with the least ingredients are usually the best! Thanks for helping parents think about what they are using.
March 15th, 2009 at 1:15 am
Thank you so much for addressing that “natural”, doesn’t always mean healthy in today’s terms. That is why I stick to one brand that I trust- that I could actually eat their skincare products. That is what I want and expect from anything that touches my family’s skin – I want to recognize each ingredient as being healthy.
Imformative – thanks.
March 15th, 2009 at 1:48 am
I love natural, organic products. I never realized you carried baby products like this. This is great, as I won’t have to go to a different store to buy them from now on. Thanks!
March 15th, 2009 at 11:05 am
You can tell there is a parent behind this line. Great stuff!
March 15th, 2009 at 2:55 pm
I have excema and wonder if my daughters will also get it. It’s making me think more of what I put on their skin
March 15th, 2009 at 3:05 pm
whole foods will be great for my new little one coming in April!!
March 15th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
Brilliant Podcast. I love your stores!
March 16th, 2009 at 9:06 am
Great podcast! I always listen in on every podcast, especially when it pertains to children. Thanks Whole Foods for helping us parents sort through all those brands of baby products so that we can have an easier time picking the BEST products for our children. Keep up the good work!
March 16th, 2009 at 9:55 am
I am very impressed that Whole Foods cares so much about its customers and their babies. Thank you for carrying this entire line of baby products, it reminds us that you care!
March 16th, 2009 at 11:03 am
I enjoyed the podcast and am happy to learn about this line of baby care products for my little girl (2 mo). I am excited about hearing more of your podcasts, but wonder also if you could go into more detail about the testing you do and how you come about creating your product.
March 16th, 2009 at 11:50 am
Very interesting podcast – it was well presented for the ganeral public, but I felt it was based in real information…and I liked the discussion of “natural”.
March 16th, 2009 at 12:54 pm
I think about this a lot as I have sensitive skin, and we are innundated by products we “need” all the time! Less is better and natural is good when you need to use something. This is a great service!
March 16th, 2009 at 2:00 pm
I had no idea that the term “natural” was thrown around so much! I’ll be sure to read labels more closely, and it’s really nice to know I can look at Whole Foods to find safer products!
March 16th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
These sound great!
March 16th, 2009 at 2:14 pm
I have purchased several baby products from whole foods and have never been disappointed. I will continue to purchase items there as my children grow older and after my new baby is born later this year.
March 16th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
Having just had my second baby, and discovering that his skin is very sensitive, it was great to find this podcast and learn more about real, natural products. I am anxious to see if I can find a Whole Foods near me so I can check out some more of these products!
Thanks!
March 16th, 2009 at 3:25 pm
I love Whole Foods but I didn’t even consider going there for baby products! We’re going to be moving near to a Whole Food in time for our baby to be born and I am so glad that I know this now!
March 16th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
I love knowing that the products sold are safe, just one less worry today is great.
March 16th, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Its so hard to figure out what to buy as a new mom, so this is really helpful.
March 16th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
It’s great to know what products are less likely to irritate baby’s skin!
March 16th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
I found out about your podcast from http://www.coolbabykid.com and I’m so glad I did. I have trusted and valued Whole Foods’ products for over 10 years and I am thrilled to find out about these gentle products. Thank you!
March 16th, 2009 at 10:44 pm
I definitely agree that this is the best time to be a parent wishing to surround our children with natural products. Thank you Whole Foods for bringing most everything that we need to live a natural, whole lifestyle under one roof.
March 16th, 2009 at 11:08 pm
thanks for the info. it’s good to know that I can find a variety of safe baby products at Whole Foods. I’m always worrying about which products are safe and which are not when I’m at regular stores
March 17th, 2009 at 1:41 pm
This is great information! I purchased hand soap at Whole Foods, and absolutely loved it! I felt that it was better for my skin, and I had no problems letting my toddler use it. I am trying to be more conscientious about what my I put on my son, so it was great listening to this.
March 17th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
I too have found that labels become more important now that I have children. Despite being in a budget crunch at this time in our lives, I know that keeping the body care as pure and natural as possible is vital for my daughters. I appreciate the reinforcement.
March 17th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
I like that Whole Foods has screened their products to make sure that they are really “natural” so I don’t have to guess.
March 17th, 2009 at 11:37 pm
thanks for the info
March 18th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
As far as I’m concerned, it’s all about providing the absolute best for your newborn. The common argument is that, “we didn’t have all natural products growing up and we turned out ok.” But the truth is, there probably weren’t as many chemicals and pesticides being used as there are now. Bottom line, if it’s all natural you can rest assured that it’s the best thing for your baby. I’m so glad that more companies like Whole Foods are starting to carry multiple options in the way of natural care. Thanks Whole Foods for making it more convenient then ever to have a green baby!
March 18th, 2009 at 2:21 pm
I hope more stores catch on to this green ‘trend’ soon.
March 18th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
We don’t have a Whole Foods in OK which is disappointing. I hope to use more natural products on my baby if I can find them.
March 18th, 2009 at 4:29 pm
Me and hubby are expecting baby #1 this summer and I plan to make Whole Foods our destination for natural baby products because I trust that they only stock their shelves with real organic items
March 19th, 2009 at 3:36 pm
I shop at Whole Foods and am expecting our 3rd child – after a 9 year break! I havne’t even thought about all natural baby products – though I have thought about the cleaners I use at home. I can’t wait to get up to my local store and check out the whole line!
March 19th, 2009 at 5:26 pm
my 9m has such dry pale skin – glad to know there is a line of products that is actually natural!
March 19th, 2009 at 9:10 pm
im glad to know that you have a line of baby products
March 20th, 2009 at 4:22 pm
I am always on the lookout for safe products for my kids.
March 20th, 2009 at 5:14 pm
wonderful information!
March 21st, 2009 at 1:54 pm
My little guy has very sensitive skin. I am always looking for products that will help NOT irritate.
March 22nd, 2009 at 2:15 pm
I think it is great that Whole Foods takes the time to evaluate products to verify that they are indeed natural rather than just taking the mfg. word for it. It shows me that they care about their products and stand behind what they sell. I have a grandbaby coming in May, and while I don’t have a Whole Foods near me-I do travel several times a month to where there is a store-and I will be sure to stock up on natural baby goods while there!
March 22nd, 2009 at 7:41 pm
It’s so nice to hear this coming from a father…usually, I see mothers concerned about making sure their baby gets all natural products. I love browsing the baby “skin care” section. Hopefully, one day, daddy will enjoy it just as much!
March 22nd, 2009 at 8:59 pm
We should always take caution with what we put on our own skin let alone our young child’s. Recently I discovered the products offered by WF and I am very impressed.
Thank you.
March 22nd, 2009 at 9:41 pm
I AM SO THANKFUL AS A MOTHER OF 5 THAT YOU GUYS HAVE TAKEN “ORGANIC” TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL FOR OUR CHILDREN!!! THANKS!!!!!!!!!
March 22nd, 2009 at 9:50 pm
I never thought about so many products being bad for my baby’s skin. Natural is the way to go. Thanks
March 23rd, 2009 at 3:41 am
My children have such sensitive skin and tummies, natural is the only way we can go!
March 23rd, 2009 at 10:59 am
I found out about your site from http://www.jollymom.com. The inforlation provided was educational and I can not wait to go intothe store and learn more about the products. Thanks
March 24th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
Wow! I learned so much about the importance of natural products. I never really thought it was necessary, but my two toddlers will appreciate it from now on! Thanks for educating!
March 24th, 2009 at 8:34 pm
I’m looking for a natural product to soothe and moisturize my toddler’s sensitive skin. I wish Whole Foods was closer to us, but we make a whole day of our trip a few towns over.
)
March 25th, 2009 at 6:05 pm
Hooray for Whole Foods’ line of natural baby items. One more reason to shop there. Thanks to WF for making this commitment!
March 25th, 2009 at 6:42 pm
I have two babies in diapers and am delighted to know that there are products that are actually made with natural ingredients! Thank you!
March 25th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
I love that your standards for natural are much higher than the general industry standards! Babies deserve the best and most natural products.
March 26th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
I’m here from http://www.jollymom.com. I think babies need the very best for their skins and I’m glad you are taking care of them.
March 27th, 2009 at 8:36 am
I am here from http://www.mudpiesandmaryjanes.blogspot.com/ and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to view your video! I have a beautiful 6 month old daughter and taking care of her is the most important aspect of my life right now. I realized today after watching your video that I need to become a much more educated and aware consumer about what products I use with my baby and learning how to read the labels to insure that I am only putting safe products with natural organics ingredients on her and in her. I am learning that not only are the ingredients in a product critical but also the process for which the products are manufactured and the standards and procedures that are followed. Thank you so much for making me so much more aware of what I should be looking out for when I shop for my baby.
March 28th, 2009 at 9:43 am
I never thought about the fact that what goes on the baby, may go in the baby too. But of course. I have always been a fan of organic, but until this, did not take it’s importance to the level of clothing too. There is a new whole foods in my neighborhood – now I need them to expand the baby offerings! tHANKS.
March 28th, 2009 at 5:37 pm
I love the baby items at Whole Body!! I am so happy to have so many items to choose from at your store! Thanks for the added info about how important it is to use these products.
March 29th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
As a mom of a baby who has sensitive skin I am so glad that whole food is doing all they can to promote the real “natural”
skin products this gives me a lot of reassurance that I can rely on whole food for my purchases, thanks the podcast was very informative.
March 29th, 2009 at 3:49 pm
Great information! It is so important to me that my family avoid using petroleum-based products on their skin. Not to mention chemical “fragrance” and other unnecessary and potentially dangerous additives. I, too, scrutinize the labels of everything I buy. Thanks for making my shopping for us and our baby safer and easier!
March 29th, 2009 at 8:22 pm
We are big fans of Whole Foods and all their wonderful products! Our favorite line for baby’s, and our own skin, is Burt’s Bee’s. It is so wonderful to have a store like Whole Foods to carry “real” natural skin care products. We just wish there was one closer to us!
March 29th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
I found out about this podcast on http://www.jollymom.com. Thank you for this great information! Since the birth of my first baby, ten years ago, I have been looking to Whole Foods, specifically the California Baby and Weleda products, to ensure that I only use the safest products for my baby. I am very happy to see that Whole Foods is providing an incentive to its vendors to not only list ingredients but disclose what they are, as well as to use truly safe and natural ingredients. I really hope I win the sling full of goodies, because the prizes are things I would actually buy and use with my children. Thank you!

Thanks again for making sure that great products, made by conscientious parents are available nationwide. I have long relied on California Baby and Weleda for safe products, and as you introduce new lines, I always carefully read ingredients, open caps and sniff, try the testers, etc.
I would love if you would use your national-chain clout with Earth’s Best and get them to resume manufacturing Tushies diapers, keep them gel-free, and in the US. Or better yet, maybe Brand 365 can buy that factory, and become the exclusive supplier of gel-free diapers. That would be FABULOUS!

Whoa! Have I ever been enlightened! As you said, it is critical to use organic products on babies skin, leaving out the artifial stuff, like colors. I also like the fact this business is based on knowledge and passion. Great podcast and thank you.

So glad to see that Whole Foods has done all the homework for us on baby products. I’m never 100% confident in my picks.

I feel confident that shopping at WFM is the best choice for me and my baby. When looking at the different options and all of the “no-no’s” in all products, let alone the ones for our most important families, it is nice to know that you can trust someone else to do all the homework. Thank you.
