Chunks of energy mixed berry, carob spirulina, high country gorp, and organic cranberry orange are now available with peanuts from New Mexico. Dancing Star thanks Whole Food customers and buyers for their tremendous support during this recall. We had no incidence during this recall and have eliminated peanut butter from all our flavors of Chunks of energy. Please email me with any questions.

It is unacceptable that there is a Federal toxic cleanup fund but no FDA fund to provide forensic services for retailers and consumers when, as a result of a recall a company goes bankrupt and its records become inaccessible due to lack of funda.

Whole Foods and others should not have to be in the position of saying 'we can't trace the products chain because the firm went bankrupt making its records inaccessible'.

Whole Foods should lead the industry in lobbying for such a fund with the Congress.

This would also be a good project for some of the economic stimulus money. The stimulus money could be used for an initial program until the service becomes part of the FDA's regular budget.

I was not surprised to hear about these recalls after my own observations. There are probably other companies that get away with such things because the Government is as much responsible as the owners.
