@Mary You know, Mary, it really boils down to personal preference between the two milks, coconut and soymilk. Coconut milk is much creamier and more dense than soy milk but also offers different nutritional values. Many people prefer coconut milk for a dairy-free milk subsitute when drinking it strait from a glass and for their cooking and baking needs. However, soymilk is considered the richest dairy milk substitute next to coconut milk. Soymilk also remains more stable at high temperatures making it great for cooking and sauces. You may want to give yourself a taste-test with the two products and figure out your preference. Here's a link to information differentiating milk substitutes.

I just tried the So Delicious unsweetened coconut milk and it had no taste so I added a few stevia packets that I buy at Trader Joe's and it tasted pretty good. I usually drink non fat milk but the coconut milk had about half the calories and zero sugar content compared to the 12 grams of sugar in the non fat. Of course, the coconut milk has 5 grams of fat but it is the good kind of fat so I can use that to get my required amount of fat each day to stay healthy. I bought mine at Stater Brothers which is a big chain supermarket so I didn't have to drive all the way to Pasadena to Whole Foods. Try your local supermarkets because apparently it has become more readily available.

I haven't eaten cereal in over 20 years, because I'm lactose intolerant. I tried the Vanilla flavor Coconut Milk and I eat cereal everyday again and I'm so happy now.

I have been using the Turtle Mountain's coconut milk, vanilla for several months now and also use coconut oil regularly. I have lost about 12 lbs and at 65, have recently had several tests run. I have osteopenia, but bone density tests show strong hips and I contribute that to good eating, and coconut added to my diet. I cannot say I care much for the coconut milk yogurt - just doesn't have the same consistency.
