hey- i just so happened to see this today and was so glad I did. We just bought some raspberries at a different store and some of them were old...and I thought- when are raspberries at their peak. And this explained it all! Thanks for the info! Now I know what berries to look for and when. :)

Greetings from California Birgitta!

You are at a much higher longitude than even the most northern production areas for berries here in North America so I'll bet these are some of the last fruits that come out of the forest before winter sets in - what a wonderful visual you've described.

Some of your recipies look delicious but I could locate the link to the translation tool you mentioned

Hi. I live in the northern Sweden and we have a lot of wild Raspberries and Blueberries in our forests now.
It's so wonderful to take a walk in the nature around me, and to come back with a bucket full of delicious and healthy berries. I write about natural, organic food on my blog Birgitta Höglund's Food. I have a link to the Google Translation Tool, so that You can translate my recipes to English.
Greetings from Sweden./ Birgitta
