I am one of those people who have a hard time sitting still. I usually try to listen to meditation tapes at night but am sleeping well before I can clear my mind so I love the idea of walking meditation!

I really enjoyed this it makes me concious of my breathing and i will put it to practice. I like all the different post you have listed on your site, there’s quit a few i want to check out.

This was really well done! I took a break at work (don’t tell anyone) and listened to this, then breathed for awhile. Actually you can tell my boss, I am much more productive now!

I just wanted to say that this is a fabulous idea! The stress relief exercise is great for me. I’m an elementary school teacher and as report card time creeps up, so do the stress levels! Thank you Whole Foods for coming up with such a refreshing webcast!

I had no idea that there were different kinds of breathing patterns–energizing, theraputic, etc. Very interesting! Thank you for these deep breathing exercises; I especially liked the walking meditation suggestion!

Wow. Thanks so much for that! I just started practicing Yoga and the thing I have the hardest time with is breathing when and how I’m told. I’ve been thinking it’s not that big of a deal but I guess I really need to step it up!

I have been trying to “breathe” to calm myself for about 2 weeks and I have noticed a difference in my mood. I feel much more relaxed and better able to handle stressful situations that arise in everyday life. I can’t wait to try the walking meditation, it sounds very relaxing.

I’ve always thought of deep breathing only as a way to calm down when stressed out..but now after listening to this, I will be making an effort to do it more often! Will be trying the rice bag technique later today!

Thanks for this podcast! I really enjoyed the tip for the walking meditation since I have tried to meditate several times before and have a very hard time with the ’stillness’. I’m still hoping I will someday become calm (as Charles sounds!) so I can reap even more benefits of meditation!

Sitting still and breathing is the hardest for me, this is a great reminder to me that I really need to focus on breathing techniques more in my everyday activities.

This really interested me! I have a degree in Psychology and
have studied the benefits of deep breathing from the
diaphragm. It also helps a singing voice! I especially want to try his suggestion on walking meditation. Getting a rhythm going with your walking and then coordinate your breathing with it!

I think I just might have to try the rice bag on my stomach to see if that helps raise my awareness of how I breathe-very interesting concept-I do find myself pretty stressed sometimes and wonder if this sort of thing could help.

I really enjoyed this podcast and the entire series. It seems so many of my friends are finding themselves ill this time of year. Partially a shift from summer to fall and partially stress. Breathing is a simple solution.
