If you’ve done any holiday meal planning lately, you know that there’s no way you are going to feed 100 kids for $10 in the U.S., but the World Food Program can.
For just $10 you can join Whole Foods Market in providing 100 meals to kids via the World Food Program’s Rwanda School Feeding operation. We pre-paid that $10 per bag to feed the kids and have also donated the costs to produce these high-quality, 100% organic cotton and natural burlap bags. Made as eco-friendly and fairly as possible in audited and certified facilities, they are only available at Whole Foods Market.
A gift of one FEED 100 Bag is like giving to 101 people. Join us this year in helping others as you shop.

When are we going to take care of the hungry and homeless kids here in our own country? With families giving away their pets and all kinds of other situations I don’t understand why we are feeding people that aren’t on our continent.I understand that others need food but, let’s take care of home first and foremost.
My .02 on this issue!

@screwdestiny and @JC: These specific FEED 100 bags for $10 are only available in our stores because we prepaid the cost and donated all of the production expenses. They are really a great deal due to our donation. You can go to the FEED Project website at http://www.feedprojects.com/ and find some other types of bags to purchase if you aren’t near one of our stores. Thanks for asking.

Agreed @Sharr!! I thought the gist of this was that Whole Foods could feed 100 for $10 **in the U.S.**?
People in THIS COUNTRY are starving everyday. Would rather my funds stay local.

what difference does it make if they are starving kids here or in another country????? We have resources here to fight this, they don’t …..GOD…..

I am so tired of merchant after merchant hitting me up for donations, in addition to my purchase, this holiday season. I am already a charitable person. Why do I need to be made to feel uncomfortable when I am checking out? Whole Foods (and every other business doing this), if you want to do something charitable, take $X out of each purchase and donate it to whatever cause you want, but stop trying to guilt me into shelling out more money to a cause *you* have decided to be worthy.

What a great idea WF! Way to be proactive, and give your customers an opportunity to be a part of a great cause. Thank You!
