I did not know that the liver is where the “burning” of fat takes place. No wonder we need to cleanse. Thanks for the information. Great tips on staying conscious and honoring our own committments to getting healthy.

I really enjoyed listening to Dr. Lucille talk about the important role that the liver plays in helping us achieve and maintain our weight loss goals. I knew that the liver was a detoxifier but what I didn’t know was how it did this job. Occasionally, I like to have an alcoholic beverage when I am out with friends or just relaxing at home. Since being pregnant, I have obviously given this up. I have been eating more fiber and I have been maintaining a healthier lifestyle. This has been a 9 month body cleanse for me and I feel great! I cannot wait to get my husband on the liver cleanse so that I can allow him to feel as great as I do! Thank you for this podcast series!

Hi,I completed a total body cleanse about 8 weeks ago. I did feel a little better, however i have trouble with regularity. i would like to know if there are any products that would be like the product in the colon part of the cleanse that i could use daily. I really loved having normal daily bowel habits as i did while using the cleanse. I do not know if there are safe daily products? Do not like thr powder fiber stuff. thank You
April 23rd, 2009 at 5:39 pm
@Theresa Psyllium husks (the fiber that is part of the cleanse) comes in both powder and capsule form. However, the best way to get more fiber into your diet is through foods: http://blog.wholefoodsmarket.com/2009/02/healthy-tip-boost-your-fiber/
April 28th, 2009 at 6:14 pm
winnie, thank you so much for the advice. I do try to eat alot of fiber however, I still need more help. can you give me a bit of advice on which brand I should try? Can I use psyllium on a daily basis and for long periods of time? I like the pill form better than the powder form. thank You so much, I really love the market and shop at whole foods quite often.
May 3rd, 2009 at 11:28 am
Hi Theresa, With regards to brands of psyllium, you should check with a Whole Body team member in your local Whole Foods. They’ll have better insights into this than I do. As for taking psyllium for long periods of time, please consult with your doctor or health care practitioner for guidance. Thanks!

I am interested in doing a colon cleanse. There are so many! I don’t know which one to buy. I think I have read every website on the internet, and now more confused than I started!
July 2nd, 2009 at 9:48 am
You should give colon hydrotherapy a shot.

It’s the commitment to stay on track that has been always hard for me. Today is the day, I am headed out to my local whole food store for some products for the whole body cleansing. Most of my family is skinny, and can eat and eat and never gain an ounces. I smell food and I gain, asking family for support is like asking a flower to grow without water. So I am on my own to suceed, because it’s for me and no one else.
Thank you for the tips.

Cleansing makes me feel better – you actually feel ‘cleaned out’ and have more energy. It is good!

I’m sorry, but the interview with Dr. Lucielle was of absolute no benefit to me. I would have hoped she would have covered some products/nutrients to use. Anyone, unless they’ve been living under a rock, knows cleansing is important.
But, what should we be doing/taking for those 2 weeks.
She did not cover that.
A complete waste of time for me.
Sorry,
Tommy
