What if our country’s most debilitating diseases could be prevented by simply changing the way we eat? The groundbreaking new feature film Forks Over Knives presents compelling evidence suggesting that diseases like heart disease and diabetes may be prevented – and in many cases reversed – through a whole food plant-based diet. You can check out the film at several pre-screening events in select cities, listed below.
The movie features Caldwell Esselstyn Jr. M.D., author of Reversing Heart Disease and T. Colin Campbell, PhD, author of The China Study – both members of the Whole Foods Market medical advisory board. Our Health Starts Here partner Rip Esselstyn, author of the Engine 2 Diet, makes an appearance as well.
Forks Over Knives is partnering with us to put on a series of pre-screening events in select cities. If you’re close by, please join us for these upcoming events:

Can’t wait to see this! Don’t think there will be a pre-screening near me, but I’ll check it out once it hits more theaters.

Just saw the screening on Saturday in Albany, NY. Amazing documentary! Well made and the stories were nicely put together. Met Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn and his wife Ann at the NY Vegetarian expo. They were really nice people and Dr. is much taller in person!
I would strongly urge everyone to see this movie and have an open mind.
A+++

When will it show in San Francisco? I saw it in Berekley a week ago – it’s a great film but was shown in a location unfriendly to people on public transit. Please show it in San Francisco!

I saw Forks over Knives in Bryn Mawr, Pa on July 26, 2010 and on July 27th started the Plant Based Diet and have never looked back. It has been an amazing transformation. I have lost 12 lbs, my energy is through the roof, and I love the whole foods. I have made almost every recipe in Engine 2 and one is better than the other. The health and vitality you feel is palpable and you will find that there will be converts along the way when they see how great you look and the energy you sustain.

Just want to say, I went to a screening of this movie hosted by Whole Foods and not only was the movie fantastic, but Whole Foods put together a wonderful pre-screening event. Great job and thanks for promoting healthy which is something I so sorely needed a decade ago when I was trying to figure this food thing out. Nice to see it finally get done on a national basis. My view of WF went up several notches.
