Nothing says summer like food on a stick. Well, maybe a few things do. But food on a stick is always fun with little to no cleanup required and, best of all, you can eat it with your hands. So why not kick off the summer cookout season with a platter of chicken kabobs this weekend? Kabobs are fast to grill and fun and delicious to eat. Plus with our various marinades, there’s a kabob for everyone at your table – even the kids!
On Friday, May 27 – for one day only – all U.S. Whole Foods Market stores will have marinated and plain chicken kabobs on sale for $3.99/pound (limit 10 per customer). Made in-house with fresh veggies and chicken, these aren’t just any kabobs. With our chicken, you get great-tasting meat from animals raised with care:
- No antibiotics, ever.
- No animal byproducts in feed.
- 5-Step™ Animal Welfare Rated to certify our producers’ animal welfare practices.
If you’re feeling inspired and want to explore the versatility of kabobs, here are a few of my favorite recipes.

What are some of your must-have ingredients for building kabobs? We’d love to hear them!

Hopefully my store will have some free samples laid out on Fri. No leap of faith. I’ll need a taste

Sarah, they’re usually $8.99/lb (I don’t work for WF, I just read the flyer in my email a few minutes ago)

My store (in KS) normally sells them for $7.99/lb, but I’m sure it varies by region. I know I’m going to stock up!

Can you freeze these?? probably a stupid question. I don’t need them until next weekend.
Thanks for any advice.

@Kerry: I would recommend buying the plain kabobs….those will freeze better than the ones that are already marinated.
