Have you decided what to serve for your special holiday dinner? Christmas ham is a delicious classic. We know you want your meal to be special and we’ve done the work to make sure it will be with one of our hams. In the next couple of weeks, we’ll have several blog posts introducing you to our ham producers and sharing recipes and cooking tips. But, first, let’s take a quick look at why we think you should get your ham from us instead of somewhere else.

@Sharon Thanks for asking. Most, if not all, of our hams are gluten free. However, the packaging does indicate this typically. Please check the ingredients on the product before purchase or, when in doubt, feel free to ask our butchers about the gluten free ham options.

Can you tell m how much sodium is in your ham?

@Claudia Since Whole Foods Market sources all the products independently from Region to Region, I recommend that you reach out to your community's store directly. This is the best way to get the most accurate information regarding the sodium content of our ham. The link below will help identify the contact information for your store and a Team Member there will be happy to share that information with you. www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores

Which holiday ham sold by Whole Foods is gluten free? Last year we bought the Wellshire Farms Black Forest ham that had the GF symbol on the packaging. We can not find a ham that has the GF symbol on it's packaging this year. Can you help me with this problem? Thank you for your help and consideration.

@Bonnie Most, if not all the hams offered in the Meat Department are gluten free. They may have just stopped putting the stickers on the products. However, the best way to ensure that the ham you would like to purchase is GF, is to ask a Team Member from the Meat Department or a Butcher. They will be happy to help you find the perfect ham for your needs. Thanks for reaching out!

@Lungpow I reached out to our Global Meat Coordinator and this is his response. "All of our hams meet our meat standards and we reuiquire that the processor goes through a approval process and a 3rd party food-safety audit to ensure that they only use raw material from approved WFM sources."

@KAREN- We often carry spiral cut ham around the holidays but since our products vary between locations, I would suggest checking with your local store: http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/list.

@KIM - Thanks for your question. Our products vary between store locations so I would suggest reaching out to your local store to see if they have any options without sugar. You can find their contact info at http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/list.

@JAMES - Since the vendors for our ham will vary between regions and stores, I would encourage you to reach out to your local store. If this is something that comes already prepared from a vendor, they can possibly look in to the nutritional information with that vendor. You can find a list of store contact info at http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/list.
