If a penny saved is a penny earned, then a meal planned is a meal earned.
In the latest issue of The Whole Deal value guide we have a week’s worth of meal ideas made with those seeking to save in mind. (That’s a lot of meals earned!)
Here’s the plan:
MONDAY: Veggie Monday Sesame-Roasted Portobellos with Asparagus Slaw and hearth bread from our bakery make for a springtime veggie delight.
Unwind with J.P. Chenet Merlot-Cabernet – a Sure Deal! in the March/April issue of The Whole Deal. Dish up fresh mangoes for dessert.
TUESDAY: Cook’s Night Off Pick up a variety of prepared salads (tuna, potato, whole grain and veggie) from our Prepared Foods area.
Arrange the salads in small scoops over salad greens. Then treat those at your table by setting out the fixings for build-your-own banana splits.
WEDNESDAY: One-Dish Wonderful
Throw together the simple and satisfying Ham and Asparagus Skillet Meal.
Serving sliced Whole Trade® pineapple for dessert should satisfy your sweet tooth. (And don’t worry, dishes are a breeze for this meal.)
THURSDAY: Super Supper Sandwiches Layer leftover ham, Kilaree Irish cheddar and honey mustard on a fresh baguette (print the coupon!), warmed in the oven.
Serve a simple green salad on the side. Set out a bowl of 365 Everyday Value® Organic Chocolate Pretzels (another Sure Deal!) for dessert.
FRIDAY: Fish Friday Quick thaw frozen tuna steaks marinated in 365 Everyday Value® Organic Ginger Soy Vinaigrette (another Sure Deal!) are a snap to pan sear.
Serve with a side of broccoli and brown rice to round out the meal. Savor a glass of Riven Rock Pinot Grigio (if you’re of age) or a handful of 365 Everyday Value® Organic Lemon Wafers.
WEEKEND: Simple Sunday Dinner
Simple and hardy Linguine with Wilted Cabbage and Ham is the perfect solution for leftover ham. (Tender green cabbage strips mimic linguine!)
Set out mixed berries topped with 365 Everyday Value® Light Whipped Cream for a simply delicious dessert.
