What would it take for me to switch to non-toxic cleaning solutions? That's easy! Winning a gift basket! Since I have been unemployed since early December 2010; a paying job would be my answer for the long term! Regardless of income; I often use a water and vinegar solution for general household cleaning. Baking soda and vinegar "foam" cuts grease nicely and works fast on my stainless sink while it deodorizes. I really enjoy the fresh clean scent that remains after using natural products. The clean is "cleaner". The chemical smells are harshly overpowering and even taste poisonous from the particulates in the air while trying to clean and it can be labor intensive to remove the chemical residue. Even my dog runs from the room! Oddly enough I have found I need to use lower quantities of natural cleaners so they usually don't really cost more per application. Hurray Whole Foods Market for such a great selection and helpful friendly customer service.

I'm trying to use natural or "green products" however, I would love to see more everyday products compared (traditional nationally known brand products with the "green" products) in print ads or even "tagged" in stores as .... compared to (blank) product, this Green Product is just as Effective yet, it's so much better for you, your family, and the environment!

2-yr 7mos breast cancer survivor, more aware now of how damaging chemicals in the foods I ate and the cleaning products I used which can stir up the cancer pot again. Trying to stay alive and live healthy by using natural products. Because I have the BRCA-1 gene my 3-kids are at risk of getting cancer at a young age like I did (age 29 diagnosed)so I am trying to build thier immune systems up so if and when cancer tries and strike their bodies are healthy enough to indure the battle.

I tried Ecover dishwashing liquid, and found it much, much better than other dishwashing liquids. I use Ecover to clean and make sparkle my stainless-steel sink and stove, glass-top stove and countertops. Consequently, I am now only interested in natural products.
