Baked Meatball Subs with Fresh Mozzarella

Loaded with meatballs and topped with fresh mozzarella and basil, these family-friendly subs are ready in 15 minutes, start to finish! Pick up the meatballs in our Prepared Foods department, available in several varieties, including vegetarian.

    Ingredients: 
    • 2/3 pound prepared meatballs (about 4), any variety, quartered
    • 4 whole wheat hot dog buns, split
    • 1 cup 365 Everyday Value Classic Marinara Pasta Sauce
    • 1 (8 ounce) Whole Foods Market Fresh Mozzarella Ball, drained and sliced
    • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil

    Method: 

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Divide meatballs between buns and arrange on a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet. Spoon over sauce, arrange mozzarella on top and bake until hot throughout, about 10 minutes. Garnish with basil and serve.
